Ways to Receive Financial Assistance at Austin Junior Volleyball:

1.  AN AJV SCHOLARSHIP GRANT  

AJV Scholarship grants are awarded by the AJV Scholarship Committee in March each year.  Only eligible candidates will be considered.  A candidate is eligible if he or she has APPLIED* ON TIME for a scholarship and has demonstrated financial need.  Applications will be available online starting August 15, 2018 and should be submitted to Amanda Chapa via email at [email protected] no later than January 11, 2019.  All scholarship applications received after January 11th will be excluded from consideration by the AJV Scholarship Committee. 

*Please note that in order for your application to be considered by the AJV Scholarship Committee, you must have submitted the AJV Scholarship Application AND Agreement ON TIME.  Failure to comply with either of the above requirements will result in disqualification from receiving a Scholarship Grant.

2.  THE MADISON BINGAMAN SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

The Madison Bingaman Scholarship Award (the "Bing" Award) is a scholarship grant awarded each spring in honor of the late Madison Bingaman (Stony Point student and AJV Class of '07) who tragically died in a car accident on her way to UMBC for her freshman season.  There is no application for the "Bing" Award.  The recipients are selected based on their representation of Madison's outstanding character and are announced at the annual AJV Awards Banquet in May.

3.  THE MP GRANT

The MP Grant is available for players whose parents work full-time for any company that participates in a matching program benefitting non-profit organizations.  Grants will be awarded by the AJV Scholarship Committee twice per season, once in January and once in April.  Only eligible candidates will be considered.  A candidate is eligible if he or she has APPLIED* ON TIME for a grant and meets all eligibility criteria.  For additional information regarding eligibility and to obtain an application, please contact Amanda Chapa via email at [email protected].  

*Please note that donations made to a specific player account are not considered tax-exempt; only donations made to the general scholarship fund qualify for a tax exemption.
