After squeaking out of a tough pool, AJV 17 Mizuno powered forward to a second place overall finish in the 17 Open division of the USAV Girls' Junior National Championships. The all-D1 squad took down fellow Texas squad SA Magic in the quarterfinals, Texas Image in their challenge pool and Skyline in their first match of pool play. They faced the undefeated, top-seeded TAV in the championship match, falling in three sets. Elan McCall, Holly Campbell, and Madison Baptiste were named All-Tournament.
