AJV 13 Mizuno ends their season with a fifth place finish at the 2013 JNVC in Dallas, Texas. This group of young ladies showed patience and determination throughout the tournament, with all three matches on day three being decided by a third set. As most of you know or can imagine, a third set is a mental and physical battle, especially for a group so young. 13 Mizuno lost match one on day four to SG Elite Roshambo, knocking them out of the running in the gold bracket, finishing fifth out of 48 teams competing in the American Division. Outstanding job to the players and coaches, the future is looking bright for these girls!
"13 Mizuno showed poise beyond their years. There were times I was looking at the court and thought I was coaching a 15's team. They made the season and Nationals one of the most exciting ones I have coached. Even when faced with elimination 4 different times, the team fought to stay alive. Their 5th place finish in 13 American is just one of the many accomplishments they will achieve in their volleyball careers."
