17 Cedar Park - National Champs and history makers AJV
For the first time in Austin Junior's history, a Cedar Park team wins a national championship. This group has shown excellence throughout the season, winning the Gold medal in the USA division at the 2013 Lone Star Classic. This excellence was displayed at Nationals in the 17 USA Division as well. 17 Cedar Park was slightly shaken up on day one of the 2013 JNVC, losing their third match of day one to CVA Colorado in two sets (22-25, 22-25). Despite the loss, the girls still had their eyes on the gold. The journey to the championship title was difficult and hard fought, no team was going to wrap up that gold medal and hand it over. Three of the remaining seven matches would go to three sets, including the championship match (25-21, 26-24, 15-11). We are extremely proud of this team and their accomplishments throughout the season. Way to go, AJV 17 Cedar Park!!
