AJV
Austin Junior Volleyball is excited to announce changes for the 2016-2017 season. AJV's 2015-2016 season was quite successful and to facilitate and achieve continued and greater success, the following changes are being implemented:
1. 13 Molten – The inaugural season for molten teams was quite a success! 3 Molten teams qualified for the JNVC with 16 molten finishing the season with a 5th place finish in the USA division. Because of this success, AJV is adding a molten team to the 13s age group!
2. Preseason setter training for 13s and 14s – In addition to the preseason training during the fall for the 11s and 12s teams, AJV is adding setter training for the 13s and 14s athletes.
3. Positional training –
a. 1 night of the week Positional Training for 14 Miz/Molten and 15-18 Miz/molten/Navy/Cedar Park is being added.
b. Additional positional training available at an extra cost for 13 Miz/Molten and 14 Navy/CP.
c. Optional positional training available to AJV athletes at an extra cost on a first-come, first-served basis.
4. Practice schedule changes for 14 Mizuno/Molten and 15-18 Mizuno/Molten/Navy/CP–
a. Sunday – 2.5 hour team practices for duration of season
b. Monday – Positional practice plus SAQ until Spring Break. After Spring Break, Monday becomes a two hour competitive team practice.
c. Wednesday or Thursday – 2 hour team practice and SAQ
