New Team Structure for the 2018-19 Season
AJV

Austin Junior Volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of a new travel team in the 15s-18s age groups. This additional team will be named Helix. The Mizuno, Molten, and Helix teams will consist of the top players in each age group willing to practice at both locations. Everyone trying out in the 15s-18s age group will be considered for the Mizuno, Molten, and Helix teams regardless of which location they select at registration. After those selections are made, AJV will reference a player's location preference when determining which team she is selected for the Navy and Cedar Park teams. All Mizuno, Molten, and Helix teams could practice at  the South Austin, Cedar Park, and SMAC facilities. All Mizuno, Molten, and Helix teams will have similar practice and tournament schedules, with 3 practices a week, 2 out-of-state tournaments plus Nationals or AAUs.

In these age groups, Navy and Cedar Park teams will now end their season after Lone Star Regionals and will not attend Nationals or AAUs (with the exception of teams who qualify for USAV Nationals).

AJV will also add an 11 Molten team, which will consist of the top players from the 11s tryout regardless of location preference. This team will only practice at the ASC South location.

With the depth of talent in the Austin area, this new team structure should provide even greater competitive opportunities for AJV athletes of all ages.
