Kellen Dunn

I was born and live in Austin, Texas. I am a senior at James Bowie High School where I play on the varsity volleyball team. I am a 4-year letterman and Team Captain for the 2012, 2013, 2014 seasons. I play indoor and sand volleyball at AJV and made the USAV HP Beach A-2 team summer 2013. I traveled to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA for training and competed in the USAV National Tournament in Hermosa Beach, CA in July. My birthday is June 27, 1997, which typically makes me one of the youngest on most teams and makes me even more determined to work hard. I love doing anything outside - camping, hiking, and any sport. Traveling, camping, and hiking with family, including our dog Scout, has given me great memories and some very funny stories to share with friends. I have been in Girl Scouts for 11 years. This has taught me a lot about being a good community servant and that I can do anything with commitment and hard work. I have earned the Bronze Award and I am currently working on requirements for the Girl Scout Gold Award and planning a community project to be completed in the next two years. I believe in being positive, self-motivated, and focusing on mental and physical preparation whether in the classroom or on the court. I understand that good nutrition, rest, and a good attitude (especially when facing challenges) make me a better student, athlete, friend and person.
