Kansas right side hitter and AJV alumnus Kelsie Payne was named the Big 12 Player of the Year after leading her team to their first Big 12 Championship.
The junior averaged 4.07 kills per set and 4.77 points per set during conference action this year. Playing six rotations for the first year of her career, she had 8 double-doubles, five 20-kill performances and 18 matches with at least three blocks. She is the first conference Player of the Year in Kansas history.
