Division Explanation

Not sure what division your club should play in or what divisions offer bids? Read this page for a breakdown of the divisions offered. Divisions are listed in order from most to least competitive.

Bid Divisions

National Division (11s & 12s ONLY)

The National division are designed to give the most competitive 11s & 12s teams in the country an opportunity to compete and qualify for the National division at the USAV GJNC. 1 bid can be awarded, dependent on division size (must have more than 8 teams).

Open Division

The Open divisions are designed to give the most competitive teams in the country an opportunity to compete and qualify for the Open division at the USAV GJNC. Up to 3 bids can be awarded depending on the size of the division.

USA Division

The USA divisions are the next step of competition after the Open Division. This division gives teams the opportunity to compete and qualify for the USA division at the USAV GJNC. USA bids are exclusive to National qualifiers. A maximum of 3 USA bids will be given out in each USA division. 12 USA will be the only USA division with a maximum of 2 bids available.

Liberty Division

The Liberty divisions are the next step of competition after the USA Division. This new (2022) division gives teams the opportunity to compete and qualify for the Liberty division at the USAV GJNC. A maximum of 2 Liberty bids will be given out in each of the Liberty divisions.

American Division

The American divisions are the next step of competition after the Liberty Division. This division gives teams the opportunity to compete and qualify for the American division at the USAV GJNC. A maximum of 1 American bid will be given out in each of the American divisions.

Non-Bid Divisions

Club Division

The Club divisions are highly competitive non-bid divisions for teams looking for an elevated level of play. The Club division features the same 3-day format and awards as all other divisions, no bids for the USAV GJNC are earned in the Club division.

Select Division

The Select divisions are the next step of competition after the Club division. The Select divisions are competitive, non-bid divisions. The Select division features the same 3-day format and awards as all other divisions, no bids for the USAV GJNC are earned in the Select division.
